What can I do with metaBRANDs?

metaBRAND's is a Franchising/Affiliate program - allows new and existing Brand's to expand across Second Life grid using metaLIFE's tools and community of affiliates.

It's like taking your brand and creating a franchise(affiliate program), allowing other people to join your franchise/brand to start Reselling for you rezzing your Branded Vendors on their land. You can always manage what is listed via your Branded Vendors, customize -the look of your branded vendors, even after your affiliate network has already been established and there are hundreds of affiliated vendors out there - you as Brand owner can manage them all anytime.

Also metaBRAND's allow you to become partners with other content creators and list your items together under one brand which is called forming a Consolidating Brand.

metaBRANDS allow to:

• Create a Brand - and customize Vendor allow your affiliates to Distribute it on their land all across the grid
• Invite your partners to add their items to your BRAND (where multiple people can sell their items under one Brand)
• Empower other people to Sell Your BRAND, by using your BRANDED VENDOR's at their locations
• Join other Brands and make affiliated income Reselling their branded content

Consolidating Brand - multiple Merchants under one Brand

Don't sell any items yet you are an active person and know many good merchants?? We suggest you to create a business based on metaLIFE technology a Consolidating Brand. 

Why Consolidating brand, and why it's a business?

• One brand - Multiple content creators: This is a special type of Brand, where multiple content creators list their items.
• One VENDOR: Your brand affiliates will be able to rez a VENDOR - customized to match your brand styling, selling items from your selected merchants!
• Everybody makes money: You are making commission for each sale across your you brands affiliate network (even if you haven't listed any items of your own), Merchants are making money because their items items are selling via your brand network, Affiliates who rezzed your branded vendors are making money selling 

Consolidating Brand Example Case:

Imagine you create a brand, with few high quality content creators, where commissions are set to motivate everybody: brand merchants, yourself, brand affiliates. All this makes sure that

1. Your Brand item quality is assured (you hand-pick each merchant)
2. Commission structure is fair for everybody( compensating everybody participating)
3. Affiliate network is healthy and growing (let's say your brand has 500 Affiliate vendors)
4. According to our statistics such network generates around 10'000..20'000L$ sales each day
5. If you have negotiated at least 10% commission for you, this translates into 1'000..2'000L$ income for You alone every day, or to 31'000..62'000L$/month (without you listing a single item for sale)
6. All the other people on your network are making around 280'000...590'000 L$ / month, which generates you quite some popularity and people start helping your brand network grow even further!

Advertising and Giving Branded Vendors to Affiliates

Getting your Brand into your Affiliates hands  just became very easy after metaVENDOR 2.0 was released. There is no setup needed for your Affiliates - all they need to do is just to rez your branded VENDOR! That's it!

Here's how it's done:

1. Rez a VENDOR and Brand it via the web (as you would normally do)
2. Take this Branded VENDOR into your Inventory
3. Now simply give this VENDOR to anybody - that's it!
4. Once they rez it - vendor will remember the brand you assigned it to and will automatically show your brand!  No additional setup is needed for your affiliates!

Tip: How to advertise/market my Brand? 

One of the ways to automate your affiliate network growth - is to Brand your VENDOR's and put them in a Box and give this box away to your potential affiliates. Use any means you find best for you: give this box at your main store, Sell it on various marketplaces(including metaLIFE :) ), give it to your group, give to other groups where you are allowed to market etc..

The goal is simple: get as many people to know they can now resell for you, and that it will be easy doing this!  People getting your Branded VENDOR's will instantly be able to sell for your brand - no additional setup is needed for them.

Using a DEFAULT Brand

If Default Brand is set, each time you rez a VENDOR - it will auto-assign to your selected Default brand, without you ever needing to go back to website and do it manually in My VENDOR's section. 

You can set default to brand - which you belong to!

It's easy to set a Default Brand - just go to BRANDS tab, in and click on "set Default Brand" link. Choose a default brand in a following form!

This tool is great for people rezzing lots of VENDOR's, just set your default and rez VENDOR's at your convenience, and be sure they will be set to your preferred brand!

FAQ

How much money I will earn from metaBRANDS?

All these of people can make money using metaBRANDS:

• Brand Owner - getting commission for each sale happening across the network of affiliated vendors assigned to brand. Brand owners do lots of work managing the brand, marketing it, getting good merchants on board, growing affiliate network, etc.. but income for brand owner could get quite big if affiliate network grows substantially.
• Affiliate Vendor Owners - Rezzing a branded vendor and getting commission for each sale of items listed via this brand!
• Merchants - Their items sell via brand - so they get commission for it :) These people decide how much to pay both: affiliate vendor owners and Brand owner, and how much leave for themselves!

How can I find existing brands?

Click on metaBRANDS in main menu, you will get a list of all existing metaBRANDS in metaLIFE platform. Enter brand name or owner name to search for exact metaBRAND.

Using filters you can list All metaBRANDS, brands you own, brands you distribute and brands you are selling in.

How can I Join metaBRAND?

2 ways to join:

1. If you got a Branded VENDOR, then JUST REZ IT! 

That's it :) it's that simple - now you are selling content from this brand

2. If you didn't get the branded vendor - you can find a brand in metaBRANDS list and join it! How:

Click on your preferred brand in metaBRANDS list, you will directed to brand view (general information, items, members, statistics, pictures, description etc..)

When you join Open for Sellers brand, you will be automatically accepted as Seller. From this moment you will be able to list your items for sale via this brand. Every VENDOR assigned to it will show them!

When you join to Open for distributors brand, you will be automatically accepted as distributor and be able sell for this Brand, by Rezing VENDOR's and assigning them for this brand. Owner of Brand can always change your status to seller.

When you click to join a private brand, metaBRAND owner will get information about pending member and can accept you or reject your request.

Contact Brand owner for your status changes!

Note: when you list your items for sale via a brand - all VENDOR's assigned to this brand will update with your items within 12 to 24 hours!

How can I assign metaBRAND to my metaVENDOR?

Login and click on My VENDORs

Select metaVENDOR's you want to assign to particular Brand

Select metaBRAND from drop down list (only brands you belong to will be listed there) and click UPDATE button

Note 1 You must be Seller or Distributor of metaBRAND if you want to assign it to your metaVENDOR.

Note 2 if you have already preBranded metaVENDOR in your inventory, then just rez this VENDOR and it will Brand itself automatically, no need to go through the whole process of joining a brand or assigning them via the web.

Giving Branded VENDOR's to other people (Growing your affiliate network)

Once you have assigned Brand to a VENDOR take this VENDOR into your inventory and give it to other residents. When they rez it - it will automatically be branded. Also you will be considered as person who referred them, and you will collect commission for certain actions these people make via metaLIFE system.

How can I create my metaBRAND?

Click create metaBRAND button and fill up following information.

Brand name - name your metaBRAND.

Brand permissions - set permissions to your metaBRAND.

Open for Affiliates - Anyone can distribute, but only metaBRAND owner can select who can sell items

Open for Selling - anyone can list their items for sale via this brand

Private - Only metaBRAND owner can select who can select which people to accept to this brand. Accepted people can be both Distributors or Sellers, Owner decides!

Logo picture UUID

Download template for logo is 4x3 ratio.

Create your one according to template and upload it into Second Life.

Create your buttons according to template and upload it into Second Life.

Front picture UUID

Paste any texture asset UUID into field. Front texture is almost 4x3 on all metaVENDOR variations.

Back picture UUID

Paste any texture asset UUID into field. Back texture is almost 4x3 on all metaVENDOR variations.

IMPORTANT: Do not use alpha textures for metaVENDOR front and back. Button texture is alpha and it is known issue in Second Life that two alpha textures on top on each other do not work well.

metaBRAND case example

Imagine 5 of you: you and 4 of your friends are a high quality designers in Second Life. At some point you decide that all five of you can form a very strong brand together, each adding value to the brand. So you start a company and name it "Fashion 5". At some point you find out about metaLIFE and our new metaBRAND program, which can help you grow your brand beyond your own reach.

Next few steps - setting up your brand at metaLIFE: 

As a first step you create a "Fashion 5" brand within metaLIFE

Select who's items will be listed in this brand, start giving permissions to people you trust and allow to spread your brand, or if you choose so - you can allow anybody to spread your brand... Say all 5 of you are top designers, sooner or later people will find out that if you want to shop for top quality Fashion, you go to Fashion 5 brand

In this case - lots of Fashion oriented people will learn that they can place a Fashion 5 VENDOR at their SIMs, clubs, fashion agencies, malls, etc.. and become affiliated to you and resell content sold on your branded VENDORS

Depending on the quality of items sold in FASHION 5 VENDOR's - they will spread virally across Second Life grid.

Final touch : In this case a "Fashion 5" brand using metaBRANDs technology got a powerful way to expand far beyond to what could be done if only owners would work on expanding it just by renting mall spaces, buying and setting up their own SIM's, buying up classified space, etc. This is a new way to expand your brand and a new way to make money for those who do not have capability of creating their own high quality content.
