Recently we have added a lot of new functionality, improvements and enhancements to metaLIFE system. List of changes is quite a long one:
- Front page redesign
- Items filtering by merchant (for example list of amazing buildings by Maddison)
- List of user brands
- Improvements to kiosk modification form
- ... and some more
The list is long, but one of new feature really stands above all of them. This feature was requested the most by our merchants. We are happy to announce that we did it - items grouping is now available. Main idea of items grouping is to allow creating groups, add items to them and then use these groups for metaKIOSKS and metaBRANDS to organize and sell items.
Until now all merchant items were listed in a kiosk when they rezzed it with an option to sell his items. This is all great, you have your kiosk and you have your items in this kiosk. However this approach lacks flexibility, all your items are listed in all your kiosks. Some merchants has a lot of items and lots of kiosks all over grid. Kiosks are in different locations where different products might be more appropriate for selling. For example some of the kiosks are in a mall for clothing and some of the kiosks are in a dance club. In such case it is more convenient and efficient for a merchant to create two groups of items: one group with all clothing goods for a mall and second group with dance animations for a club. Same principle applies for metaBRANDS. When seller joins or creates a brand he can choose to sell only some of his items in brand and not all of them.
You can create groups of items and use them in four simple steps:
1) In user menu on the left side there is a link to items groups list

2) Enter name of a group and click to create it (empty group with no items will be created)

3) Click on a Add/Remove items link to modify group (only active items available for adding to a group will be displayed)

4) Once group is created you can assign it to your kiosks or brands

4a) To assign one or more groups for kiosk go kiosks list, edit kiosk and select appropriate groups

4b) To assign one or more groups for brand go brands list, edit brand and select appropriate groups
