UPDATE: this post was written prior to LL releasing Xstreet roadmap (or can I just say bomb ? :) ). It was a struggle ever since, and is very tempting to put all our efforts into helping you guys, yet we have to keep to our word about what's posted here! Thank you for all your good words, support, feature requests, even pointing to all the bad - things we need to improve (and have done so for some already - check ZERO and web updates). So to conclude - sorry for all the inconveniences, yes we are well aware our service needs lots more improvements, which we promise to start delivering after our hands are free from other tasks(I anticipate around February)  Robbie, 2009, Nov, 26'th

metaLIFE team is dedicated to create new generation services bringing value Empowering Your Second Life and Business! We believed that Second Life needs innovation, so we will continue to create new ways previously unexploited by others and helping to improve life for:

Thank you for all your support, many people have tried our metaVOTER, metaHUD, the web and off course our main product new metaVENDOR and we hear words of amazement everyday - thank you all! We respect every one of you who participate in these first steps with us. We want to thank you for all your patience, support and feedback during those first steps - they are not always easy :) 

We want to be transparent with you

In the meantime metaLIFE profits still wouldn't support it's expenses, also we are still a very small company, and we have a company to keep afloat! So for the next 2 months metaLIFE team will be involved in some RL Projects, not directly connected to new service developments for metaLIFE. In short -  we will be working on RL projects that will fund our future operations at metaLIFE!

We strongly believe in the future of Second Life and in the metaverse in general, so we will be creating services improving lives of those who act within SL or metaverse, but we are slowing down our active development of new features for few months, to make sure we have enough resources to carry us through the development phases in the years to come!

We believe that we are leaving you with quite a developed Marketplace that has all the major components to help your business grow today:

• New generation Vendors: thank you all for helping us with defining what you needed for the perfect vendor. Not all the features are in it already, but many many are thanks to your feedback
• metaBRANDS: up to this moment it's a unique service, allowing you and your partners to build affiliate networks with unbelievable ease!
• Web Marketplace: a web place to shop and sell your items. Update: web sales are ZERO commissions now - yes 0%! read here
• Grid-Wide Marketplace: In-World grid-wide network of Search enabled vendors, able to search and sell every item available via metaLIFE, making your items available all across the grid!

So we believe this 'call to duty' will be a quick, almost unnoticeable - we hope we are leaving you with a robust system which can help you grow your business! In the meantime - when you will report various issues with our vendors, brands, website, etc.. if they are urgent - we will fix them, and save the rest for the next year.

So yes - we will continue to support our current system, we are simply slowing down NEW developments for couple of months, just to make sure we are able return with much greater energy and resources - to fulfill the duty!

Thank you for understanding! Upon our return back to active development of new services 2 months later, we plan to return with much grater resources, which will ensure that we can create much better tools/services at a faster pace!
