We have seen 58% increase in Resident number, making income via metaLIFE (All types of income: Selling, Affiliate Reselling, Referral income)

Affiliate Sales Share

This graph shows Affiliate sales share compared to all metaLIFE sales. In December 56% of sales happened via Grid-Wide network, the rest 44% via Merchant owned vendors.

What does this mean?

This means that affiliates are selling more than merchants themselves, for example 56% of sales happened across Grid-Wide network! Every month larger share of ALL sales is happening on a Grid Wide system, not via Merchant owned Vendors!

For example December is the first month, when Grid-Wide Network is making more than 50% sales compared to all sales. This is an amazing achievement!

Why is this important? 

Because Grid-Wide Sales are EXTRA Sales for Merchants! This chart shows how much Extra sales merchants are receiving from Grid Wide + Web marketplaces. This is important because affiliate sales are growing faster then own Merchant sales are growing, which means that more and more affiliates are joining metaLIFE to make extra money this way!

Grid-Wide marketplace is made up of merchant Affiliate network (residents reselling for this exact brand), or people who rezzed default metaVENDOR and are selling ALL metaLIFE items via it.

Note: Merchants can Rez a vendor and sell their items themselves, we don't count those sales as Grid-Wide.

Future Development (it's not a roadmap yet)

Last few weeks been extremely interesting and fast, dealing with RL projects + answering all your requests + implementing some of them on the go + ...

Thanks to all of you who are helping to add to our already HUGE To-Do list, when we get back to active development (sometime around Feb. ) thanks to your feedback we will have LOTS of work to do, just to mention few larger ones:

• Bunching items ( for example same color items - making appear as one search result)
• Uploading pictures - lots of you asking for this one
• More flexibility to vendor
• improving search, providing more relevant default items for vendor, etc (many search improvement requests)
• Better Categories - more "Shoppable" categories as someone said
• and many many more, and off course some exciting plans we don't want to disclose just yet :)

Wrap up

Affiliates is the fastest growing sales source! And I am extremely happy that more and more of affiliates are finding metaLIFE to be a good source searching for good affiliate programs!

As of this moment there are 19'759 items listed via metaLIFE, so affiliates already have some choice what to resell. I anticipate when this number gets to 30'000 then almost every category should be filled with items  at least partially! ( Update : this number increased to 19'847 while I was editing the post) 

This is just the beginning, thank you for all your ideas, we also have few of our own, so we will be improving the whole system to meet your business needs, and help you better serve your customers, better tools to grow your business, easier ways to manage affiliate sales, etc..
